Martiño Rivera Dourado has a BSc in Computer Science (2020) by the Universidade da Coruña (UDC, Spain), a BSc in Information Communication Technology by the University of South Wales (USW, United Kingdom) and an official MSc in Cybersecurity by the UDC and the Universidade de Vigo (UVigo). Both their Computer Science degree and Cybersecurity master thesis, qualified with 10/10, were awarded with Honours. Further, he has received the award to "The best degree thesis in cybersecurity" at the CyberSec@GAL cybersecurity congress (2020).

During an academic year, he has studied at the University of South Wales with an Erasmus scholarship. Martiño has collaborated as an research intern with the Computer Science and Information Technology department at the UDC from 2020 to 2021. His last work experience was in the Centro de Investigación das Tecnoloxías da Información e das Comunicacións (CITIC), at the Universidade da Coruña, in which he has done research in cybersecurity during a year.

Currently, he is enrolled in an official Ph.D. candidate program in the very same university, affiliated to the RNASA-IMEDIR research group. Recently, in the international field, he has participated in a 2-week volunteering project in France, but also in two international summer training courses, in Lisboa and in A Coruña. During these years, he was actively involved in international work teamsat the AEGEE youth society as an IT suipport and, ocassionally, as the Chair IT at the Ágora Salerno 2019.

In the academic field, his main interests are wrapped around the cybersecurity area, specifically in cryptography and authentication. Moreover, he is also interested in some research areas like networks, systems and automatic deployments. In the cybersecurity line, he also participates actively in non-academic events, like the Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions, while attending to congresses. Meanwhile, he is currently writting a personal blog on cybersecurity for all audiences.
